 Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients in 3 parts, mixing until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Using a cookie scoop or spoon, form balls of dough and place them onto the prepared baking sheets.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the edges are lightly browned.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
