Decadent and Rich Chocolate Cake Recipe - A Must Try for Chocoholics!

 Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • Chocolate frosting (optional)

Instructions:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease two 9-inch round cake pans with butter or cooking spray and dust them with flour.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix everything together until evenly combined.
  • In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix everything together until just combined.
  • Slowly pour in the boiling water and mix everything together until fully combined.
  • Divide the batter evenly between the two prepared cake pans.
  • Bake the cakes for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Remove the cakes from the oven and let them cool in the pans for 10 minutes. Then, remove them from the pans and let them cool completely on wire racks.
  • Once the cakes have cooled, you can frost them with your favorite chocolate frosting or enjoy them plain.
  • Serve and enjoy!
Note: You can also add chopped nuts or chocolate chips to the batter if you like.
