Ingredients:
- 200g paneer, cubed
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2-3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 inch piece of ginger, grated
- 2-3 tomatoes, pureed
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves, chopped
Instructions:
- Heat 1 tbsp of butter in a pan on medium heat. Add the paneer cubes and fry them until they turn golden brown. Transfer the paneer to a plate and keep it aside.
- In the same pan, add another tablespoon of butter. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Add chopped onions, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until the onions are translucent.
- Add pureed tomatoes and cook until they are soft and mushy.
- Add coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix everything together and cook for another minute or two.
- Add heavy cream and mix everything together. Cook for another minute or two.
- Add the fried paneer cubes to the tomato-based sauce and mix everything together.
- Cover the pan and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes or until the paneer has absorbed the flavors of the sauce.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or naan.
